The Queen's Guineas Auction in the Scotiabank Ring of Excellence got underway at 6:30pm. A warm welcome back to Scotland Manor Auction Services who managed the Queen's Guineas Auction once again in 2011. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each animal went to the Breakfast Clubs of Canada through the Kids Helping Kids platform. In 2010, the Kids Helping Kids raised $1300 for the Toonies for Tummies campaign.

At 6:30pm the Royal Elite Beef Breed Sale got underway in the Scotiabank Ring of Excellence. The sale was managed by Bouchard Livestock International, who works closely with Canadian beef producers, Canadian beef breed associations and national livestock exhibitions to promote and market Canadian livestock genetics at home and around the world. Bouchard Livestock International is based out of Crossfield Alberta but travel extensively all over Canada and the US managing premier beef sales. If you saw the second installment of the all-beef breed's sale at the Royal, you caught a great show!

The Market Lamb and Market Kid Auction began at 5:00pm in the Royal Sheep Ring (Lower East Annex). The champion market lambs and champion market kids sold off in a display of the best Canada has to offer. James Doan auctioneered for the evening and there was a buyer's appreciation dinner following the auction.
