Ontario wines have come from obscurity to be some of the most popular and respected varietals in the world. They are no longer considered second tier but have become award-winning vintages across the globe. Ontario ice wines are as good as it gets, with bottles being scooped up by connoisseurs everywhere.
The Royal Wine Competition was a treat for wine lovers in 2011, as Ontario vintners brought their best to impress Consumer and Sommelier Panels. Some of the finest chefs, sommeliers and wine connoisseurs in Ontario were part of the judging panel.
