Shayma O. Saadat is an award-winning cook and internationally published food writer (find her recipes in Bon Appetit, Globe and Mail, BBC, New York Times, CBC, Toronto Star, among others). In addition to being a proud Torontonian, Shayma Saadat is a Pakistani-Afghan with Persian ancestry. She loves to combine the flavours of her heritage—which she calls Silk Route Cuisine—with the bounty of her home in Canada. Shayma’s been seen cooking on CTV’s Your Morning, and is regularly invited to host culinary workshops and talks for clients all over Toronto, (LCBO, Chatelaine Magazine, George Brown College, Loblaw’s, University of Toronto, Evergreen Brick Works, among others).
