The Burnbrae FarmsTM
Food & Lifestyle Stage

The Burnbrae Farms Food and Lifestyle Stage plays host to Egg Farmers of Ontario Road to The Royal Farm to Table series and daily food demonstrations featuring local chefs and farmers.

Come partake in some great food and beverage and stop by at the café or bar for a relaxing time.

The Royal Wine
Competition

The Royal uncorks the competitive spirit of Ontario wineries and shines a spotlight on their top vintages. 2017 Champions will be crowned in the Fall and available to try at the Fair in November.


 

Royal International Invitational Chef Challenge
Saturday November 4th at 1pm

The Royal presents its 4th annual International Chef Competition where top chefs from Canada, USA and abroad will come and compete to assume the Royal title.

Champions Day
Wednesday November 8th starting at 3pm  

Passionate about food? Want to try some Royal Champion products? Join us on Wednesday and try some of the best cheese, jams, honey and wine while discovering the secrets that make a Royal Champion.

 

Cooking with the Wolfman®
Sunday, November 5th, 11am and 1pm  

At the Burnbrae Farms Food & Lifestyle Stage. Chef David Wolfman will demonstrate the art of indigenous fusion cooking. Some lucky audience members will have a chance to assist Chef Wolfman during his show and audience members will have a chance to sample his creations.

Brent Preston of The NEW FARM
Wednesday, November 8, 11am and 2pm  

Meet farmer Brent Preston the founder of The NEW FARM. The New Farm supplies organic foods to some of the best restaurants in Toronto, including Momofuku whose chef de cuisine, Paula Navarrete, will create some delicious dishes for audience members to sample.

 

Culinary Historians
November 10th and 11th  

Could you make a cake without butter, eggs and milk? The Culinary Historian will show how the ingenious Canadian women in WWI did just that with a demonstration re-creating the Canadian War Cake. Commemorating the WWI sacrifices made at places like Vimy, guests will learn about Homefront cooking, rationing, the role of women and Canada's agricultural contribution. Plus front line food preparation including building of a Field Kitchen, how the Sergeant Chefs cooked food, how the food was transported and how the soldiers heated it. Don't miss is inside look at Canadian ingenuity.

Rediscovering Acadian Food
Monday November 6th, 12pm and 2pm  

Simon Thibault is a proud member of the Acadian community who, along with an accomplished chef from George Brown College, will create delicious foods from traditional Acadian recipes handed down from the earliest Canadian settlers.
