The School of Moo by Dairy Farmers of Ontario is a hands-on experiential education learning opportunity for students to expand their knowledge of the world around them, understand the origins of their food and make healthy choices. Covering topics like dairy farming, dairy nutrition, processing, careers, and technology. Come check it out and become a School of Moo graduate – complete with a diploma!
Featuring a freestall cow enclosure with live cows, and a custom-built state of the art milkhouse, visitors to the Dairy Education Centre will get an up-close view of dairy cow care, dairy calves, and the entire milking process. Scheduled milking demonstrations conducted by expert Ontario Dairy Educators will create an interactive learning experience for all attendees of The Royal.
After viewing the live cattle milking demonstrations, explore inside the School of Moo where guests of all ages can participate in hands-on learning with support from our Ontario Dairy Educators. Exhibits and activities are focused on dairy farming technology, environmental innovations, and animal care, as well as local milk production, nutrition, and dairy processing. Be sure to stop by and learn more about local dairy by exploring agricultural careers, testing your dairy knowledge to win cool prizes, and signing up for online games and learning resources.
