The 2026 Royal Horse Show features FEI CSI5*-W, CSI2*, and CDI-W competition, alongside Canada’s most prestigious national championships and breed competitions. From future stars to seasoned international competitors, The Royal celebrates excellence across more than thirty breeds and divisions.

While competing at or attending The Royal Horse Show, plan to stay at Toronto’s iconic Fairmont Royal York Hotel. Canadian Hunter Derby National Championship Returns to The Royal
The Royal Horse Show is proud to once again host the Canadian Hunter Derby National Championship, bringing together the country’s top Derby combinations for one of the most anticipated Hunter events of the season.
After qualifying throughout the year, Canada’s leading Hunter Derby riders and horses will meet at The Royal to compete for the national title in a two-phase championship held in the historic Coca-Cola Coliseum. Set against the excitement of The Royal, this championship showcases the very best of Canadian hunter sport and provides a fitting finale to the season.

The Royal Horse Show is excited to announce the 2026 Tack Room Competition theme: Year of the Fire Horse!
We invite exhibitors to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse by creating tack room displays inspired by the horse’s enduring significance in Chinese culture and the exceptional partnership between horse and rider. The Horse is widely recognized as a symbol of strength, courage, perseverance, vitality, and success. Displays are encouraged to respectfully incorporate colours, patterns, and artistic elements inspired by the Year of the Fire Horse and the traditions of the Lunar New Year, while remaining mindful of the cultural significance behind these traditions.
One of The Royal’s most anticipated exhibitor traditions, the Tack Room Competition celebrates creativity, sportsmanship, and stable pride. Entries will be judged on representation of the theme, cleanliness and presentation, and creativity and design. Prizes will be awarded to the top three tack room displays in each division during each judging period, courtesy of Ride Every Stride Inc.
