Kris Simmons, Executive Chef at Danu Cellars, fine-dining venue at Dark Horse Estate Winery, found his passion for cooking at a young age. With humble beginnings, as a dishwasher with a natural talent, he quickly worked his way up the kitchen ladder as he fell in love with the industry. Now in the industry for over 15 years, Kris has curated innovative cooking styles, as a graduate of The Stratford Chef School, alumni at Waterloo Regions elite restaurants including Langdon Hall and The Elora Mill. His cuisine is reflective of terroir and region, with a modern French twist and emphasizing all things local.
