Important Dates

Move In
  • Move-in to the Industry Building (Main Barn) will begin Monday November 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
  • Move-in to the North Extension (Hall H) will continue the same as in previous years following the clean out and early morning move-in on Wednesday November 11, 2026
Move Out

Saturday November 14, 2026, beginning once The Fair closes. Release will be announced by the Dairy Cattle Superintendent. All cattle must be gone from the barns by Sunday November 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action.

PLEASE NOTE

  • Out of province exhibitors can make arrangements to house animals in barns located near Toronto prior to move in. Contact Harry Emmott for more information.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • Attention US Exhibitors: Please refer to the Dairy Cattle Rules & Regulations for Import Permit Process and Testing Requirements.
  • Standard Agreement Form: All exhibitors must read and acknowledge that they understand the Dairy Cattle Code of Ethics by signing the entry form. Entries will not be processed if the Standard Exhibitor's and Standard Agreement between Owners and Fitters are not signed.
  • Please Note: Changing the natural colour of an animal is prohibited. However, external applications of cosmetics that affect only apperance may be used, including by way of example colour touch up of a maximum of 4" on either side of the topline, hoof polish, and false switches.

    Rules and Regulations

    1. Open to contestants 6 - 21 years of age, as of January 1, 2026.
    2. Entry Forms are available from Jersey Canada: 9-350 Speedvale Avenue West, Guelph, ON, N1H 7M7
    3. All Youth Showmanship contestants will receive a shirt and ribbon. The winner will recieve a suitable memento.

    1. PeeWee Showmanship - ages 6 - 8. Winner presented with an award sponsored by Dupasquier Farms, Guelph, ON.
    2. Novice Showmanship - ages 9 - 11. Winner presented with the Enniskillen Trophy sponsored by Enniskillen Jerseys, Enniskillen, ON.
    3. Junior Showmanship - ages 12 - 14. Winner presented with an award from Makers Jersey Inc., Rockwood, ON.
    4. Intermediate Showmanship - ages 15 - 17. Winner presented with an award sponsored by Lookout Jerseys, North Hatley, QC.
    5. Senior Showmanship - ages 18 - 21.

    Champion Showperson: Sponsored by Farm Boy Productions.
    All classes except PeeWee are eligible for the Championship class**

    Please Note: The Royal will not issue payment on earnings less that $25
    Six (6) placings will be awarded prize money when there are 10 or more animals exhibited in the class

    All best bred and owned milking class cows will re-enter the ring before the Championship class to determine the winner of a perpetual award in memory of Michael Heath, a monetary prize of $250 and keeper award sponsored by the Michael Heath Memorial Fund.

    Lactanet Production Award

    Presented by Lactanet to recognize the achievements of the Jersey Breed. The recipient of this award must have placed among the top ten in their classes and have the highest composite BCA on any completed record. The Senior 3-Year-Old, 4-Year-Old, 5-Year-Old, Mature Cow, and Lifetime Component classes are eligible. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to provide proof of production.

    The Cliff Berry Award

    Presented by the Berry family to a highly respected leader in the Jersey community, who has shown dedication and commitment to the breed. The recipient will recieve a perpetual engraved plaque and unique gift from a recognized Quebec artist.

    The John Bull Memorial Trophy (Perpetual)

    Presented to the Best Uddered Female by Duncan, Bartley, and Mary Bull in memory of their late father, John Bull, for many years a prominent Jersey Breeder and a member of the Executive Committee of the RAWF. The winner will recieve a suitable memento.

    Elmer Buchanan Memorial Trophy

    The friends and family of the late Elmer Buchanan, Tony River, Nova Scotia, an outstanding Jersey enthusiast, together with Jersey Atlantic present a trophy for the Senior Champion Female.

    Don Head Challenge Trophy

    Presented to the Grand Champion Female by a member of the Redelmeier family in memory of their father, the late W. Redelmeier, Don Head Jerseys.

    The Australian Trophy (Perpetual)

    Presented to the Reserve Grand Champion Female by the friends of the late Mrs. Jean Elliott Grisdale, as a gesture of friendship from Australian Jersey Breeders.
