Competition Information

Entry Deadline: Friday October 13, 2023

Entry Fees: $6.00 per entry. Late entries will be accepted up until October 31st at the late entry fee of $12 per entry. Changes to existing entries may be made up until October 31st through the Agriculture Show Office. No changes will be accepted on show day.

Arrival Time: Sunday November 12, 2023, by 7:45 AM.

Exhibitors will receive an e-mail confirmation which should be brought with them to the registration desk on show day as it will have the ear numbers for judging, and it functions as an entry pass to the Fair.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  1. The Youth Rabbit Show will be judged according to the most recent Dominion Rabbit and Cavy Breeders Association Standard of Perfection.
  2. Exhibits entered in Youth Show may not be entered in Open Show. Youth Exhibitors must state their age on the Entry Form.
  3. Youth exhibitors must own the animals entered.
  4. Youth exhibitors must be present to enter youth classes and are responsible for getting their exhibits to and from the judging table.
  5. For General Rules, please refer to the Open Show.
  6. Rabbits and Cavies showing evidence of being unhealthy or diseased may disqualified and removed from the show table at the discretion of the judge.

Junior Youth Rabbit Show

Section 1500 - Exhibitor must be 13 or younger as of October 31, 2023, in order to enter in the Junior Youth Rabbit Show.


Classes:

1.

Any Standard Breed Rabbit

2.

Any Pet Rabbit

This class is for pet owners only, "open class" competitors are ineligible for entry in this class

3.

Showmanship

Any standard breed rabbit. Judged on the exhibitors handling, examination of, and knowledge of the particular breed exhibited.

4.

Judging

3 rabbits of a standard breed to be judged and placed by the exhibitor with reasons given (Animals provided)


Senior Youth Rabbit Show

Section 1510 - Exhibitor must be 14 years of age or older as of October 31, 2023, or an active member of 4-H Ontario over the age of 14 in order to enter in the Senior Youth Rabbit Show.


Classes:

1.

Any Standard Breed Rabbit

2.

Any Pet Rabbit

This class is for pet owners only, "open class" competitors are ineligible for entry in this class

3.

Showmanship

Any standard breed rabbit. Judged on the exhibitors handling, examination of, and knowledgeof the particular breed exhibited.

Junior Youth Cavy Show

Section 1585 - Exhibitor must be 13 years of age or younger as of October 31, 2023, in order to enter in the Junior Youth Cavy Show.

Section 1586 - Exhibitor must be between 14 and 18 years of age as of October 31, 2023, or an active member of 4-H Ontario in order to enter in the Senior Youth Cavy Show.
