Competition Information

Entry Deadline: Friday October 30, 2026. Late entries will be accepted until Friday November 6, 2026, at the late entry fee. No changes or entries will be accepted on show day. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Entry Fees: $6.00 per entry. Late Entry Fee: $12.00 per entry.

Arrival Time: Sunday November 15, 2026, by 7:45 AM. nformation regarding location of arrival and departure will be sent out in the confirmation letter to exhibitors after the entry closing date.

Exhibitors will receive an e-mail confirmation which should be brought with them to the registration desk on show day as it will have the ear numbers for judging, and it functions as an entry pass to the Fair.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  1. The Youth Rabbit Show will be judged according to the most recent Dominion Rabbit and Cavy Breeders Association Standard of Perfection.
  2. Exhibits entered in Youth Show may not be entered in Open Show. Youth Exhibitors must state their age when entering each class.
  3. Youth exhibitors must own the animals entered.
  4. Youth exhibitors must be present to enter youth classes and are responsible for getting their exhibits to and from the judging table.
  5. For General Rules, please refer to the Open Show.
  6. Rabbits and Cavies showing evidence of being unhealthy or diseased may disqualified and removed from the show table at the discretion of the judge.

Senior Classes

Section 1 - Exhibitors must be between 14 and 18 years of age as of November 6, 2026

Classes:

Individual Breed Identification

Exhibitors will identify a group of animals in writing. Spelling errors will not be penalized. One entry per exhibitor.

2.

Showmanship

Exhibitors will complete a guided health check routine on their animal. (Rabbit or Cavy) Participants are judged on their knowledge of the animal. One entry per exhibitor.

3.

Judging Contest

Exhibitors will place a class of four animals (rabbit or cavy) according to the DR&CBA Standard of Perfection. One entry per exhibitor.

Section 2 - Exhibitors must be 13 years of age or younger as of November 6, 2026, to enter the Junior Classes.
