Horse Show Competitors
Plan to compete at North America’s #1 Indoor Horse Show.
We’ve been hard at work, behind the scenes planning to make our 100th Anniversary Royal Horse Show an incredible, unforgettable event. We will deliver world-class competition and an electric atmosphere while showcasing the breeds and disciplines that make our iconic event. In 2022, we will award over $1,000,000 in prize money and and look forward to welcoming the best-of-the-best in their quest to be crowned a Royal Champion.
NEW COMPETITIONS FOR 2022!
Although not ideal, Covid has provided The Royal Horse Show with an opportunity to review its competition offerings in the Hunter and Jumper disciplines. With much research and discussion from across the country, we are elated to announce a new 3’3” Junior/Amateur Hunter Division, as well as a new 1.30m Junior/Amateur Jumper Division. The Adult Amateur 18-35 and Adult Amateur 36 and Over divisions will be combined and the number of accepted entries increased. These adjustments allow athletes and horses a more logical progression within the sport, fostering the goals and dreams of our youth and amateur equestrians alike.
We are also pleased to announce that Equestrian Canada has granted us hosting rights, and officially recognizing The iconic Royal Horse Show as Canada’s National Championships for Hunter-Jumper divisions as contained in the EC Rulebook. We are honoured to partner with the federation, and we look forward to continuing to provide the best-in-class competitions we are renowned for.
To facilitate these updates, we have made some changes to our qualifying criteria for invitation to The Royal Horse Show. We will now be utilizing the Official National Rankings of Equestrian Canada for invitation to the competition, while maintaining the geographic representation of our event. This important change allows competitors to travel and garner points toward their national standings from any competition across the country.

‘CLINIC WITH A CHAMPION’ PRESENTED BY HENRY EQUESTRIAN
The Royal Horse Show is proud to have hosted a very well attended clinic with our reigning Canadian Show Jumping Champion, Beth Underhill on August 21. The clinic featured three groups, engaging in flatwork and training over various heights of jumps in gymnastic in the venerable arena setting of Valhalla Equestrian in King, Ontario.
Our Loyal Royals can now view all three sessions free of charge courtesy of our sponsor Henry Equestrian and our supporting partner, the Government of Ontario.
