Move In - Barns
Cattle can move into the barns beginning on Tuesday November 3, 2026.
Tack can be moved into the barns on Monday November 2, 2026.
Cattle must be in place before Thursday November 6, 2025, at 8:00 AM

Cattle can move into tie outs beginning on Monday November 2, 2026, after 8:00 AM.

Move Out
Sunday November 8, 2026, following conclusion of Supreme Show.
  • Tear down of stalls cannot start until after the Supreme Show in finished and trailers will not be allowed to move until all cattle have walked to tie outs.
  • No cattle will be allowed back in the barn on Monday November 9. Cattle can remain in tie outs until 12:00 PM (noon) on Monday.
  • Pack must be gone from the barn by Monday November 9 at 7:00 AM

    EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE:

    1. Exhibitors must have their animals in the marshalling area prior to entry of the class into the ring. Late arrivals will be refused entry into the show ring.
    2. All exhibitors MUST wear a clean pair of pants, blue Simmental show shirt or Simmental wind shirt in the show ring.
    3. All Simmental exhibits must meet a minimum requirement of 7/8 Purebred for all Females, 7/8 Purebred for Males born on or after January 1, 2024 and 15/16 Purebred for Males born prior to January 1, 2024 except in classes 4&5 where Females must be at least 50% but less than 7/8 Purebred as recognized by the Canadian Simmental Association.
    4. The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair has banned the use of aerosol cans in the marshaling area, as per rule #2 of the General Rules and Regulations. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
    5. Where numbers warrant (minimum five (5) head) in the heifer calf, yearling female and bull calf divisions, class splits will be made using fullblood and purebred criteria according to the Canadian Herd Book.
    6. If an animal is foreign registered only, the exhibitor must provide written proof from the Canadian Simmental Association as to their eligibility for Canadian registration.
    7. All calves shown in class 9 or 10 are also eligible to be shown individually in their own current year calf class. In the event that a heifer calf shown alongside her dam who is the Senior Champion Female or Reserve, and the heifer calf is as also the Junior, Intermediate or Senior Heifer Calf Champion or Reserve, the exhibitor must choose to show either the pair or the heifer calf alone in the Grand Champion Female Class.
    8. Exhibits in Class 4 or 5 are not eligible to compete in any other class or award.
    9. Recognizing the wide age spread in classes 6&13, there will be a minimum of one split before September 1, 2024 and one on or after September 1, 2024.

    Premier Exhibitor Award

    An award is presented to the exhibitor with the most points for animals owned and shown by the exhibitor based on their highest (6) placings in the individual classes. All animals accumulating points for this award must be the entries of one exhibitor. In the case of joint-ownership, the exhibitor must be specified, otherwise the joint owners will be considered as one exhibitor / entry.

    Premier Breeder Award

    An award is presented to the individual company (as recorded on the Certificate of Registration) whose animals accumulate the highest total points based on their highest (6) placings in the individual classes. To be eligible for the Premier Breeder Award, the breeder must exhibit at the show. Qualification for this award is based on Canadian rules that specify all owners at the time of conception are the breeders of the animals.

    Ron Wooddisse Memorial Performance and Efficiency Award

    The champion and reserve champion heifer and bull will be announced following the Grand Champion Female Competition. This class takes place prior to the Royal and was open to all OSA members. Animals will be scoredbased on the lowest percentile average ranking of all the animal’s pedigree EPD’s tracked by the Canadian Simmental Association. Animals that have a DNA sample reported on the animal pedigree at the entry deadline will receive bonus points for the accuracy they achieve through the genomic testing.

    Kingfield Farm Awards (Perpetual)

    A trophy to the Grand Champion Female is presented in memory of Mr and Mrs H Michael Burns

    A trophy to the Grand Champion Male is presented in memory of Mr and Mrs Charles F W Burns.

    The winners will recieve a silver tray and $1,250 in prize money.

    Supreme Champion Simmental Trophy (Perpetual)

    Presented to the Supreme Champion Simmental of the show by the Irish Simmental Cattle Society

    MASTERFEEDS SUPREME BEEF CHAMPIONSHIP

    The Masterfeeds Supreme Beef Championship class will invite the Grand Champion Bull and Female from each of The Royal's seven breed shows, the National Junior Beef Heifer Show back into the ring along with the supreme champions from premier regional beef shows in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes to be judged for overall Supreme Bull and Female. Three North American officials have been invited to decide who will take home the prize and title of Masterfeeds Supreme Bull and Supreme Female.

    The Royal Agircultural Winter Fair is a qualifying show for the Agribition Beef Supreme presented by CN.

    The Masterfeeds Beef Champions will be invited to participate in The Agribition Beef Supreme presented by CN.

    The Agribition Beef Supreme, presented by CN, will host the best of the best. On November 23 - 28, 2026 invited Supreme and Grand Champions from major livestock shows across North America join Agribition’s Grand Champion Bulls and Females to compete together in the Agribition Beef Supreme with a chance at the Supreme Champion title.
